Penn and Teller: Fool Us is a competition for magic television show where magicians perform tricks in front of American comedian-magician duo Penn & Teller. The first 2 seasons featured capable host Jonathan Ross, and the third season onwards Alyson Hannigan.

Fool Us was filmed at Fountain Studios in London, England (season one) and the Penn & Teller Theater located in Las Vegas (season two onward). After each performance, when Penn & Teller cannot figure out how the trick was performed, then the magician(s) who performed the trick get the Fool Us trophy and a five-star trip to Las Vegas to perform as the opening act in Penn & Teller`s show, also at the Rio Hotel & Casino.

Teller states that doublespeak is a way to teach people new techniques without spoiling the trick. Penn and Teller`s hosting tasks were temporarily handled from Jonathan Ross in the first season, however they were back for the second season onward. Penn Teller The Fool Us series was shot on Fountain Studios in London, England for its first season, before being moved into the Penn & Teller Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada for the remainder of its second season.

From Season 3 onward, from season three, the top ten performers who successfully fooled Penn & Teller in Season 3 are invited back for an episode special from Fool Us in which they each perform their act once more and try to fool Penn and Teller again for a further $20,000 cash prize.

Raymond Teller remains quiet throughout the course of the show, however they communicate with subtle gestures with each other. They have been known to talk with magicians who are performing and ask for them to repeat specific actions or give more details.
